| Leading the Effort
Who is responsible for the management and implementation of these important plans for the Short North? The Short North Neighborhood Foundation (SNNF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, founded in 2000, is working to leverage the efforts of all neighborhood constituents and to create a collaborative vision to ensure strong continued vitality in the area. The SNNF is partnering with the Short North Special Improvement District (SID) to develop, implement and maintain the planned Pocket Parks for the Short North. The SID has been responsible for improvements in the area including the first three pocket parks and the arches over High Street, in addition to general maintenance management of the Short North. The SNNF maintains a special Short North Campaign fund at the Columbus Foundation for this important com-munity effort. Donations will also help to establish a fund, managed by the SNNF, to make additional grants for important neighborhood projects. |
