The Short North Annual Community Leadership Award exists to recognize an individual who has made a significant contribution to advance the creative spirit, diversity and vitality of the Short North Neighborhood and Arts District.

The Short North Foundation welcomes anyone in the community to nominate an individual for the award. Please submit your nomination in no more than two 8.5 x 11" typed pages to the Short North Foundation by September 15, 2008 via mail or email. Digital documents are preferred.
The Community Leadership Award Criteria are:
1. Leadership. Describe the nominee's ability to motivate others and accomplish a specific goal. Include any risks taken and challenges that were overcome.
2. Scope. Describe the scope of the project or efforts the nominee has made to effect a significant impact in the Short North. The impact should relate to advancing the creative spirit, diversity and vitality of the area. Describe the nominees efforts in terms of time, talent and money required.
3. Impact. Describe the impact the nominees efforts have had on the Short North. How is the Short North better as a result of the nominee's efforts? Be specific and provide specific and measurable results whenever possible.
4. Initiative. Describe how the nominee has taken charge or made a personal commitment to accomplish the goal.
5. Creativity. Describe the creative ways in which the goal was accomplished.
